Lithograph, lying fox, signed and dated (19)43 in lead on the right under the print, foxing, sheet approx. 25 x 33.5 cm, important German sculptor and draftswoman, as a woman not admitted to study at the Art Academy in Dresden, therefore for 3 years as the first female student at the veterinary HS Dresden, private lessons with Robert Diez, admission to the Saxon Artists' Association, alongside her work as an animal sculptor from 1920-29 worked as a drawing teacher at the art school "Der Weg" under the direction of Edmund Kesting, in February 1945 her Dresden studio was destroyed and almost 500 works lost. 1946-1963 lecturer in drawing and sculpture at the Dresden Adult Education Center
