August 1836, contemporary marbled cardboard cover with label on the spine, signs of age and wear (including cover slightly damaged), Prof. Emil Huschke (1797 Weimar-1858 Jena), German anatomist, zoologist and embryologist, from 1823 professor of anatomy and physiology in Jena , from 1840 several times dean of the medical faculty, later pro-rector of the University of Jena, his father was still a secret privy councilor and personal physician in Weimar, family doctor of Goethe, Herder and Wieland.
