Copper engraving of three plates: historical Dresden - general view from 1650, view from the Loschwitzer Elbhang over the Elbe to the city, staffage figures, in the sky titled "Prospect Deß Elbstroms Umb Dreßden Wie Suches auff dem Berg zu Loschwitz zu Sien ist", ca. 24.5 x 100 cm (image), approx. 32.5 x 103.5 cm (sheet), inscribed in the image lower right. "Casp. Merian fec.", very decorative sheet from: Matthäus Merian d.Ä. "Topographia Superioris Saxoniae Thüringiae/ Misniae Lusatiae etc", signs of age (among other things, traces of folding, left margin up to 1 cm to the print, reverse assembly remains, sheet stabilized and right margin professionally edged), strong impression, Caspar Merian was an important topographical engraver and publisher of the Baroque period, son and pupil of the engraver Matthäus Merian d. Ä. and half brother of Maria Sibylla Merian.
