Bronze, black patina, "Gute Beute", athletic nude of a young man sitting on a rock, on his knees a captured eagle, reaching for the widely spread wings (bow and arrow are missing), flat rectangular base marked and location "Dresden" , foundry mark "Guss Pirner u. Franz Dresden", shoulder attachments and 1 wing each with traces of a crack caused by manufacture, total height approx. 63 cm; In 1897 a bronzed terracotta model of this sculpture was shown at the International Art Exhibition in Dresden, 1874-1883 studied sculpture at the Dresden Academy of Art under Johannes Schilling, dealt with ecclesiastical and religious art, since 1899 honorary member of the Dresden Art Association
