Design: Josef Hoffmann, manufactured by: probably Jacob & Josef Kohn, Vienna, so-called "Fledermaus-Armchair", turned beech and bentwood, turned frame with U-shaped foot brace and ball decorations, semi-circular seat with belt padding and dark brown artificial leather cover (renewed), interlocking Continuous armrest and backrest, upholstered field in the backrest, diamond-shaped decorative elements on the side, signs of age and wear, baseboard slightly damaged, seat H approx. 45 cm, backrest H approx. 74 cm, around 1910, Josef Franz Maria Hoffmann (1870-1956) was a founding member of the Wiener Werkstätten. The design was used in the famous Viennese cabaret Fledermaus, hence known as the "Fledermausgarnitur".
