Copperplate engraving of 3 plates: historical Dresden general view from 1650, view from the Loschwitz Elbhang over the Elbe to the city, figures, titled in the sky "Prospect Deß Elbstroms Umb Dreßden Wie Suches auff dem Berg zu Loschwitz zu werden ist", approx. 24.5 x 100 cm (image), approx. 32.5 x 103.5 cm (sheet), lower right in the image labeled "Casp. Merian fec.", very decorative sheet from: Matthäus Merian the Younger Ä. "Topographia Superioris Saxoniae Thüringiae/Misniae Lusatiae etc", signs of age (including signs of folding, left margin up to 1 cm to the print, reverse mounting remains, sheet stabilized and right margin professionally margined), strong impression; Caspar Merian was an important topographical engraver and publisher of the Baroque era, son and student of the engraver Matthäus Merian the Elder. Ä. and half brother of Maria Sibylla Merian.
