Color woodcut, bank landscape with a row of trees and a wide sky, signed in lead under the print, labeled and limited 26/50, framed behind glass, signs of age (including browned, slightly wavy, frame damaged), sheet section approx. 30 x 39 cm, with Frame approx. 34 x 42 cm, animal and landscape painter as well as wood cutter and illustrator, son of the painter Albert Brendel (1827-1895), 1894-99 studied at the art school in Weimar under Carl Frithjof Smith, 1900 at the Académie Julian in Paris, 1901 -02 at the teaching institute of the Royal Museum of Applied Arts in Berlin and 1905-11 master student of Albert Hertel and Paul Friedrich Meyerheim at the Berlin Academy, 1908-09 stay in Rome with a scholarship from the Prussian Academy of Arts, 1921-24 professor at the Weimar Art School
