Manufacturer: Ph. Rosenthal & Co. AG, Selb-Ploessberg plant, design by Willi Münch-Khe, model no. 821, naturalistic depiction of a young deer caught in motion, oval grass base signed, colored underglaze painting, approx. 22 x 22 cm, 1936; Willi Münch-Khe (1885-1960) studied at the Karlsruhe Art Academy and was a master student of Hans Thoma. Among other things, he supplied the Rosenthal porcelain factory with figurine designs which, in accordance with the taste of the time, are extremely realistic and attest to a precise observation of nature.
