Oil/canvas, relined, "Children's Happiness", North German room scene with a young mother in bed and a proud father who introduces the new sibling to the older daughter, signed lower left, approx. 90 x 72 cm, with gold frame from the time (minor signs of age ) approx. 125 x 108 cm, studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Oswald Achenbach and Wilhelm Sohn, among others, encouraged by his teacher Sohn, Kirberg left his studio in 1879 and undertook a lengthy study trip through the Netherlands
