Watercolor and colored chalk on firm paper, a seated female nude with her arms crossed behind her head, turned to the side, signed and dated "25.7.(19)55" lower right, overall in good condition with minor signs of age, sheet approx. 72.5 x 50 .5 cm, 1921-26 work as a locksmith, 1926 studied at the Dresden Art Academy with R. Müller and H. Dittrich, 1929-30 studied with Otto Dix and Georg Lührig, 1930 member of the ASSO Dresden and the "Dresdner Sezession 1932", 1940-47 soldier and French prisoner of war, from 1947 based again in Börnchen, 1972 National Prize of the GDR
