Lockung und Stille", with 8 lithographs and texts by the artist as well as texts by Erich Arendt, Werner Schmidt, Lothar Lang, Roland Jäger and the editor Hans Marquardt, limited "172/ 300", published by Reclam Verlag Leipzig in 1986, 34 pages, brochure in slipcase, slipcase slightly damaged, slightly light-stained, format approx. 28 x 31 cm, poet, painter and graphic artist, actually Gerhard Ströch, grew up in Altenburg in Thuringia, 1948-50 studies at the HS for architecture and fine arts in Weimar with Hans Hoffmann-Lederer and in the litho workshop of Hans Arloth, he draws his inspiration from events he has experienced himself such as war experiences and from literature, art and intellectual history from ancient mythology to on Pablo Picasso and Johannes Bobrowski, 1952 first solo exhibition in the Springer Gallery in West Berlin, supported in the GDR by Bernhard Heisig and Willi Sitte, 1977 participation in documenta 6 in Kas sel, from 1970 member of the GDR Academy of Arts and the Institute for Modern Art in Nuremberg
