Gouache on paper, set design for the film "Die Halbzarte" (Austrian feature film shot in 1958 by Rolf Thiele with Romy Schneider in the leading role), marked on the lower right edge, signs of age (including traces of folding, creases, slightly soiled), sheet approx. 37 x 55 cm, actually Renate Gabriele Bachem, in the late 1920s studied at the Berlin Art Academy with Ludwig Bartning and Max Kraus, among others, then worked as a stage designer in Munich, after 1945, among other things, illustrations for the magazine "Der Simpl", as well as designing books and film posters as well as designs for the Rosenthaler Porzellanfabrik and the Gebrüder Rasch wallpaper factory
