Watercolor and colored pastel chalk on brownish paper, "Perseus with the head of Medusa", after Benvenuto Cellini (1500-1571), inscribed and signed in lead on the side, elaborately framed in a colored passe-partout behind glass, gilded Art Deco stucco frame (min. best.), sheet section approx. 20 x 43 cm, with frame approx. 40 x 68 cm. The monumental bronze of Perseus with the head of Medusa is considered Benvenuto Cellini's main work and was placed in a representative place in the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence in 1554, where it still stands today. Richard Müller: from 1890 studied at the Dresden Academy, in 1895 Max Klinger inspired him for etching technology, from 1900 professorship at the Dresden Academy, later students were George Grosz, Otto Dix and Richard Scheibe.
