Bronze, dark brown patina, portrait bust of an elderly gentleman, fully sculpted, marked, plaque with illegible signature of the sitter, mounted on a grooved stone base in brown-black coloring (screwing loose), good condition, total height approx. 47 cm, around 1930 ; 1891-96 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, from 1897 freelance sculptor ibid., 1906/07 worked in Berlin, 1907-1930 taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, founding member of the artists' association "Die Zunft" and the "Artists' Association Dresden ", is one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century.
