colorless tear-off glass, cylindrical wall over a wide, round stand, cartouche framed by polychrome flower painting, in it motto "Love freely and make a wedding, these are probably two beautiful things.", air bubble inclusions, stable strap handle, pewter stand and lid mount with pusher (marked: Carl Friedrich Pilz, apprenticeship with father Traugott Friedrich Pilz 1814-16, master in Freiberg from 1820, still mentioned 1850), monogrammed and dated 1840, base ring 1 x slightly warped, all in all good age-related condition, H approx. 24 cm
