Meissen manufactory, swords underglaze blue, 1st choice, designed by Paul Helmig 1907, model no. 73555 (old Y 149), "The first ornament": girl looking at the cherries hanging around her ears in a hand mirror, natural base with tree support, colored painting, hat, hand and mirror restored, height approx. 17.5 cm, after 1973; Paul Helmig (1859-1939), studied at the School of Applied Arts in Dresden, worked for the Meissner Manufactory from 1872, worked as a model from 1882 until his retirement in 1925 and created numerous figures and groups, as well as watch cases and vessels decorated with figures, mostly in a richly decorated, detailed design
