Ink brush drawing, standing female nude with raised left arm, signed and dated 1913 lower right, rs. inscribed, placed in a simple passe-partout (detached, traces of mounting), sheet approx. 19 x 12.5 cm, 1900 the family moved from the USA to Berlin, 1908-11 apprenticeship as a lithographer, friendship with Bruno Krauskopf, 1911-13 attended the evening school of the Berlin Museum of Decorative Arts, there lessons with Emil Orlik, studio community with Wilhelm Kohlhoff, Ernst Fritsch and Willy Jaeckel, 1919-33 member of the Berlin Secession, after 1933 painting and exhibition ban, 1943 destruction of his studio, after 1945 turning to abstract painting
