Bronze, multicolored patina, allegorical representation of justice, fully plastic statue of Justitia with blindfold, scales and sword, holding down a snake winding around the law book with the right foot, artist's inscription on the back, round marble base in black with attached plaque BLIND JUSTICE BY MAYER, good condition, total height approx. 59.5 cm, around 1900; Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, worked in the studio of Professor Wilhelm Rümann from around 1885, later worked as a freelancer. In addition to small sculptures, Mayer created numerous monuments for public spaces
