Marked on the lid: Carl Gottlob Noster (apprenticeship with his father George Gotthelf Noster 1790-94, master craftsman in Oschatz from 1800, died 1841), on a flared arched round base, cylindrical wall with rich braided decoration, Saxon coat of arms in architecture, surrounded by floral motifs, curved Grip, hinged lid with scepter-shaped thumb rest, monogrammed JCSm. v. Stretcher and dated 1818, overall in good condition with normal signs of age and wear, foot slightly dented, height approx. 25 cm, early 19th century.
