K 691, advertising: young lady leaning against a cavalier playing the lute, rocaille-framed base signed, discreetly colored and decorated with gold, instrument damaged, slightly rubbed, approx. 14.5 x 25 x 13.5 cm, 1948; Karl Himmelstoss (1878-1967), sculptor and small sculptor, trained at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Berlin, also worked there, 1911/12 in Selb, from 1913 in Munich, designer of numerous figurative models for the Staatliche Porzellanmanufaktur in Berlin, later for the Porzellanfabrik Rosenthal in Selb and for the Schwarzburger workshops for porcelain art in Unterweißbach, represented with genre sculptures at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition (1904, 1907 and 1911) and in the Munich Glass Palace (1906, 1914 and 1916)
