Mixed lot of sketch sheets, 6 differently colored sheets with various pencil sketches, 1 x washed, including male nudes, Renaissance group of figures, baroque lansquenet with horse and robed figures, signs of age, sheet up to approx. 32 x 29 cm, from 1855 at the Dresden Art Academy with Ludwig Richter and Friedrich Gonne, among others , from 1860 initially in the studio of Joseph Hübner, then worked independently as a portraitist, including various commissions for portraits of Saxon nobles, from 1869 employed as a drawing teacher at the Bohemian School in Dresden, from 1888-1919 as a teacher for life drawing and sketching at the art academy and arts and crafts school in Leipzig, from 1893 as a professor ibid., numerous altar and pulpit paintings in churches in the Leipzig, Dresden and Chemnitz area come from his hand
