Lithograph on fine laid paper, young student, reduced to outlines with a profile portrait of a young woman, signed in lead in the lower area, slight signs of age, sheet approx. 52 x 40 cm, after training as a stonemason and stone sculptor from 1924 studying at the Landeskunstschule Karlsruhe and at the United State Schools for Applied Arts Berlin, 1933-38 master student with Hugo Lederer at the Berlin Academy of Arts, 1946-50 professorship at the TU Berlin, 1949 National Prize of the GDR, from 1958 professor at the HS for fine arts in Hamburg
