Etching, literature illustration for Franz Kafka penal colony, monogrammed and dated in the print, signed in lead below, dated 1956 and inscribed, sheet approx. 46 x 62 cm, graphic artist and sculptor, 1946 training as a sculptor with the sculptor Burkhard Ebe, 1947-50 Apprenticeship as a sculptor with Herbert Volwahsen in Dresden, 1950 admission to the Association of German Visual Artists, Naumann lived and worked as a freelance artist in the Loschwitzer Künstlerhaus from 1950, 1994 moved to Dittersbach into the Künstlerhaus Hofmannsches Gut, with works in the Salomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, among others, Represented in the Galerie Neue Meister, in the Kupferstichkabinett and in the Skulpturensammlung in Dresden
