Oil/canvas, foothills landscape with farm and staffage, signed and dated (19)45 lower right, inscribed on the stretcher and with an old sticker, grooved wooden frame, approx. 59.5 x 76 cm, with frame approx 87 cm, 1898-1904 studied at the painting school for women in Dresden with Robert Sterl, Wilhelm Georg Ritter, Anton Pepino and Wilhelm Claudius, among others, first exhibitions in Chemnitz from 1884, sponsored by the doctor and collector A. Thiele, from 1907 member of the Artist group Chemnitz, 1908 student at the painting school in Munich with Albert Weisgerber, in the following years head of her own painting school, after 1933 classification of her works as degenerate art, despite being almost completely blind, artistically active until the end of her life
