Watercolor, still life with fruit and a blue glass bowl, signed and dated (19)45 lower left, the watercolor includes the original glass bowl which the artist used as a model, behind glass framed in a passe-partout, sheet section approx. 19 x 26 cm, with framing approx 33 x 40 cm, 1898-1904 studied at the painting school for women in Dresden, among others with Robert Sterl, Wilhelm Georg Ritter, Anton Pepino and Wilhelm Claudius, since 1884 first exhibitions in Chemnitz, sponsored by the doctor and collector A. Thiele, ab 1907 member of the Chemnitz artists' group, 1908 student at the painting school in Munich with Albert Weisgerber, in the following years head of her own painting school, after 1933 classification of her works as degenerate art, despite being almost completely blind, active as an artist until the end of her life
