Woodcut, looking, male head, signed in lead lower right, inscribed and limited 1/20, framed behind glass in the passe-partout, sheet section approx. 50 x 22 cm, with frame approx. 66 x 38 cm, 1941 student at the art academy in Königsberg with Alfred particles, 1946-50 studies at the HBK Weimar, influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, among others, from 1950 master student with Otto Herbig, then lecturer for color design and life drawing ibid., from 1954 as a freelance painter and graphic artist worked in his hometown of Gersdorf, from 1960 lecturer at the technical school for applied arts in Schneeberg, 2019 represented in the exhibition Generation in the Shadows in the Neue Sächsische Galerie Chemnitz
