From the origin of the open damage/ and its healing [...], printed in Strasbourg, by Antonium Bertram, here the edition from 1600, the herbal book first published in 1575 (combined for the first time with the Practica), posthumously by the Swiss physician and alchemist Michael Toxites (1514-1581) ed. Bartholomäus Carrichter (around 1510-1567), personal physician to Ferdinand I and Maximilian II, among others (whose death he is said to have caused through a medical error), belonged to the school medicine d. enemies of the Paracelsists at the time. In the 16th century, Carrichter's herbal book was highly valued, in which the medicinal plants are arranged according to the signs of the zodiac and the importance of the planetary positions for collecting and using the herbs is ascribed. (NDB III, 158), reddish parchment binding (without the clasps), format approx. 16 x 10 cm, signs of age and wear (including spine damaged in the upper quarter, endpaper missing, book core firm, pages partially browned, various pages with missing parts at the bottom right: main title, tract - title after p. 224, title of Von Thorough Heylung der Zaubern after p. 80, title of the other book after p. 160, 3rd book on p. 184 (actually p. 183, at the same time last page of the book), isolated annotations and underlining, not checked for completeness, but nice edition worthy of collection)
