Bronze, dark patina, wall design Fichtelberghaus, cast after the artist's original wooden model, stamped Atelier Hans Brockhage Schwarzenberg/Erzgebirge, approx. 12 x 17 x 3 cm, Hans Brockhage created models in wood for construction-related or public commissions, which should make his idea understandable to the client. The order was then executed in full format in wood. Atelier Brockhage posthumously cast some of these wooden models in bronze in an extremely limited series. The texture of the wood and the idea of the composition can be experienced in an impressive way in this small format and are of great durability thanks to the bronze cast. Brockhage was commissioned in 1968 to design the so-called Fichtelberghaus Oberwiesenthal with architectural elements. The Fichtelberg wall consists of split, smoked spruce trunks, which, with their rugged and almost untreated form and naturalness, represent a contrasting accent to the more modernistic interior design. The dimensions of the wooden structure wall are an impressive 2.50 meters in height and 7.50 meters in length. // Saxon artists
