Watercolor on paper, autumnal path with a row of trees, signed lower right, mounted behind passe-partout, slightly stained, but overall in very nice condition, image detail approx. 48 x 33 cm, with passe-partout approx. 69 x 53 cm, decorator, painter and interior designer, came from the cabinetmaker family Kimbel from Mainz, apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker in Hamburg, then worked as a freelance architect and draftsman, 1894-97 worked in his father's company in Breslau, 1897 founding of the company for interior design Kimbel & Friedrichsen with Aßmus Friedrichsen, design of interior furnishings for the Berlin City Palace, the Armory and the Kronprinzenpalais as well as Wernigerode Palace, the dining room in the Hotel Adlon Berlin and 1922-29 by HAPAG passenger ships, 1904 Grand Prix at the St. Louis World Exhibition, 1908 Imperial appointment as court draftsman and court cabinetmaker, 1931 bankruptcy of the company , 1933 moved to Zehdenick and increasingly worked as a painter
