Oil/canvas, summery shore landscape with meadow and row of trees, signed lower right, original wide gilded profile frame (min. damaged), slight color loss at the lower edge of the picture, otherwise beautifully preserved, approx. 74 x 100 cm, with frame approx. 96 x 122 cm, 1910/20s, student at the Breslau Art Academy, since then lifelong friendship with fellow student Gerhart Hauptmann, continued his studies at the Munich Art Academy with Bruno Piglhein, among others, in his studio on Theresienstraße 1892 founding of the Munich Association of Fine Artists, co-founder of the Munich Secession, based in Munich until 1896, then in Berlin, exhibited at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition and in the salon of Paul Cassirer, co-founder of the Berlin Secession
