Meissen, crossed swords mark, 1st choice, based on the design by Johann Joachim Kaendler, so-called small druse case, on 4 feet, oval, curved wall with hood lid, white glazed plastic flower garlands, with knob in the form of a bow crown on cushions and palmette handles, rich gold painting, with colored or purple figure or merchant trip ice scenes as well as the Polish-Lithuanian coat of arms on the lid, the plastic flowers extremely slightly damaged, the gilding slightly rubbed, H approx. 15.5 cm, L approx. 19.5 cm, pommel swords Mid 19th century to 1923, the Druse casket originally designed for Maria Josepha of Austria, wife of King Augustus III. from Poland, was used to store threads that had been plucked out and used for embroidery and the like.
