Meissen, crossed swords mark, 1st choice, based on a design by Johann Joachim Kaendler, so-called Drusekästchen, on 4 feet, oval, curved walls with a hood cover, extremely elaborately pierced, white glazed plastic flower garlands, plus a knob in the form of a bow crown on cushions of two cupids held, handles in the form of women's heads with feather headdress, rich gold painting, plus colored or purple figures and miner scenes on the front and back of the wall, the Polish-Lithuanian coat of arms on the lid, 1 of the 4 cupids on the wall rest., otherwise very nice condition, model no. 81615, H ca. 21 cm, L ca. 25.5 cm, after 1973, the Druse box, originally designed for Maria Josepha of Austria, the wife of King Augustus III. from Poland, was used to store threads that had been plucked out and used for embroidery and the like.
