Bronze, dark brown patina, miner as a semi-nude with pickaxe and miner's lamp, resting in a sitting pose on a rock, signed and dated 1921 on the side, rs. Foundry mark Pirner & Franz Dresden, nice condition, total height approx. 43 cm, early 20th century, son of the sculptor Reinhard Schnauder, studied at the Dresden Art Academy and Paris School of Applied Arts, study trip to Rome, later return to Dresden, almost complete loss his works during World War II
