The Munich illustrated weekly Jugend was an art and literature magazine founded by Georg Hirth and Fritz von Ostini, which was published in Munich from 1896 to 1940. The magazine gave its name to the Art Nouveau movement. Many well-known European artists painted and drew on direct orders for the weekly.
