Bronze, dark patina, Hermes sitting on a laced package, shown as a semi-nude with the attribute of winged shoes, rs. Artist's label, mounted on a grey-brown marble base (min. dam.), overall nice condition, total height approx. 26 cm, around 1920, sculptor and porcelain modeller, apprenticeship with the Braunschweig court sculptor Wilhelm Bayern, from 1907 studies from the HfbK Berlin, then initially a freelance artist, from 1911 worked as a designer for the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin (KPM), among others, works also created in bronze and alabaster, represented in numerous museums: Porzellanikon Selb, Bröhan-Museum Berlin or Museum of Applied Arts at Sciences Sydney
