Meissen, crossed swords mark, 1st choice, model by Otto Pilz 1907, model no. X 143, seated mandrill, colored underglaze painting, H approx. 21 cm, very nice condition, pommel swords from around/after 1907. The colorful mandrill with the extravagant fur pattern represented an extremely attractive motif for Otto Pilz the designer almost human features.
