Meissen, sword mark, 1st choice, design by Artur Barth 1914, in fine underglaze painting City view of Dresden seen from the banks of the Elbe, city coat of arms in relief on the flag and inscribed Dresden, very nice condition, D approx. 25 cm, Pfeiffer period 1924- 34 The view plate was also issued by the manufactory in an underglaze blue design, which is much more common. The rare colored version makes the city view appear much more atmospheric and moody.
