Bronze, "fragment", monogrammed "RL" on the side, dated (19)88, height approx. 29 cm, cf. lit.: "R. Leibnitz, retrospective, Kunsthalle Gießen 1992", p. 35, Ruth Leibnitz: 1945- 50 studied music in Dresden and Leipzig, 1950-57 worked as an opera singer, 1958-60 sculptural training with Irmgard Biernath, 1968 founding member of "Group 9", numerous works in museums and in public spaces in Bonn, Hamburg, Mannheim and in Chemnitz can be seen in the city library, the industrial museum and in the entrance to the Kreuzkirche, among other things. 2002 Entry in the Golden Book of the City of Chemnitz, the Ruth Leibnitz Prize for sculptural work donated by the city is awarded every two years
