Pen and ink drawing, caricature on the topic of trade, probably draft drawing for a print, published in Satyr, issue 6, monogrammed "WV" lower right and dated 1848 and underneath "printed v. Ed Gusl May Frankfurt a M.", inscribed on the lower edge: "Protective tax collector silver piece: "Mr. Michel, look what a life! This is the only way to get bread and work." Freihandler Merks: Mr. Michel, if you look at me: you have to respect my system. Michel: I don't know who ordered me, because everyone just likes their cap.", slight signs of age (among other things slightly creases), sheet approx. 30 x 21 cm
