Watercolour, portrait of a man, signed and dated (19)98 on the right under the print, in the passe-partout, sheet approx. 31.5 x 25 cm, from 1941 a student of Alfred Particles at the Kunstakademie in Königsberg, 1946-50 studied at the Weimar HS , influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, among others, from 1950 master student with Professor Otto Herbig, then lecturer for color design and life drawing at the Weimar HS, from 1954 working as a freelance painter and graphic artist in his hometown of Gersdorf, numerous honors, Awards and exhibitions in Saxony and beyond
