Color woodcut in orange and black on handmade paper, "Im Spiegel", signature on the right under the print, sheet approx. 40 x 54 cm, 1941 student of Alfred Particles at the Art Academy in Königsberg, 1946-50 studies at the Weimar HS, influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, from 1950 master students with Otto Herbig, then lecturer for color design and life drawing at the Weimar HS, from 1954 he worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist in his hometown of Gersdorf, numerous honors, prizes and exhibitions in Saxony and beyond
