Colored woodcut in black and gray on handmade China paper, titled "Kranke Dogge" by hand under the print on the left, signed and dated in lead on the right (19)80, sheet approx. 51 x 77 cm, 1941, student of Alfred Particles at the Art Academy in Königsberg, 1946-50 studies at the Weimar HS, influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, among others, from 1950 master student with Otto Herbig, then lecturer for color design and life drawing at the Weimar HS, from 1954 he works as a freelance painter and graphic artist in his hometown of Gersdorf, numerous honors, prizes and exhibitions in Saxony and beyond
