Watercolor, village view, wintry scene in a village in the Ore Mountains, in the right half of the picture a cross-country skier in the evening sun, on the left two half-timbered houses, monogrammed and dated (19)76 by hand lower right, behind passe-partout and glass in the frame, sheet section approx. 50.5 x 72 cm, with frame approx. 68.5 x 87.5 cm, 1941 student of Alfred Particles at the Art Academy in Königsberg, 1946-50 studies at the Weimar HS, influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, among others 1950 master student with Otto Herbig, then lecturer for color design and life drawing at the Weimar HS, from 1954 he works as a freelance painter and graphic artist in his home town of Gersdorf, numerous honors, prizes and exhibitions in Saxony and beyond
