Watercolour, Erzgebirge landscape with watercourse, signed by hand lower right, behind passe-partout and glass in the frame, minor signs of age, sheet section approx. 62 x 48 cm, with frame approx. 75.5 x 61 cm, 1941 student of Alfred Particles at the Art Academy in Königsberg, 1946-50 studied at the Weimar HS, influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, among others, from 1950 master student with Otto Herbig, then lecturer for color design and life drawing at the Weimar HS, from 1954 he worked as a freelancer Painter and graphic artist in his hometown of Gersdorf, numerous honors, prizes and exhibitions in Saxony and beyond
