In the hinged lid city and master's mark Johann Gottfried Rohloff, from 1796 master in Dresden (probably hallmarked later), arched round foot, cylindrical wall with braided pair representation and the motto "God wonderfully combines faithful love and friendship flames", the lid monogrammed with a scepter-shaped thumb rest " JGK" and dated 1820, signs of age and wear (e.g. slightly dented), H approx. 23 cm, D approx. 11 cm, late 19th century.
