gilt, green - white enamelled, vs. crowned "FA", rs. "PROVDENTIAE MEMOR", on the wide green ribbon, Maltese cross approx. 70 x 70 mm, later version probably around 1900, the rare Saxon order was only awarded 332 times in the 111-year history of awards - most recently by the Margrave of Meissen (head of the house Wettin) to Otto von Habsburg in 1958, the house order was originally founded under Napoleonic rule in 1807 by King Friedrich August III. donated, the ruling house of Wettin wanted to honor outstanding personalities, the order was to be returned after death.
