Lithograph, self-portrait, signed in lead lower right, limited "1/10" to the left, minor signs of age, sheet approx. 53 x 39.5 cm, 1941 student of Alfred Particles at the Kunstakademie in Königsberg, 1946-50 studies at the Weimarer HS, influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, among others, from 1950 master student with Otto Herbig, then lecturer for color design and life drawing at the Weimar HS, from 1954 he worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist in his hometown of Gersdorf, numerous honors , prizes and exhibitions in Saxony and beyond
