Watercolored woodcut, sunset behind trees, signed in lead lower right and dated (19)88, in the passe-partout, minor signs of age (including min. creases), sheet approx. 21.5 x 30 cm, with passe-partout approx. 30 x 40 cm , 1941 student of Alfred Particles at the Art Academy in Königsberg, 1946-50 studies at the Weimar HS, influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, among others, from 1950 master student with Otto Herbig, then lecturer for color design and life drawing at the Weimar HS, from 1954 he works as a freelance painter and graphic artist in his hometown of Gersdorf, numerous honors, prizes and exhibitions in Saxony and beyond
