Meissen Manufactory, swords underglaze blue, 1st choice, "lady in ball gown", model by Konrad Hentschel 1902, standing young lady with dress gathered at the side, colored onglaze painting, oval base decorated with gold, model no. T 187, professionally restored, H approx. 31.5 cm, pommel swords, rare shape in on-glaze painting from the original period around/after 1902. Konrad Hentschel (1872 Cölln - 1907 Meissen) studied at the art academies in Munich and Dresden and had been there since 1889 worked at the Meissner manufactory. Together with his older brother Rudolf he created important Art Nouveau models. In addition to the famous "Hentschel Children", K. Hentschel also made a number of Art Nouveau female figures, harnesses and cupid figures.
