Meissen manufactory, swords underglaze blue, first choice, "ice skater", model by Alfred König 1910/11, polychrome underglaze and overglaze painting, buttons on the jacket decorated with gold, model no. Z 194, left foot and right hand rest., H approx. 21.5 cm, pommel swords, model from the original period around/after 1911. Alfred König (1871-1940) worked as a modeller at the Meissen manufactory from 1897 and created until when he left in 1932, an extensive figurative work, including numerous children figures, but also Asian motifs or soldiers figures during the First World War. From 1913 he also studied sculpture at the Dresden Art Academy.
